Military service has taught me the meaning of two important concepts

    Leadership - There is no other place I know where you are able to develop leadership qualities comparable to those you learn in the U.S. Armed Forces.

    Service - Our all volunteer force is based upon the concept that we sacrifice personal gain for public good.  It seems many politicians have no understanding of this concept today.
